Always hope for the best….

Of all the methods God gave us to cope,
The most promising is something called Hope.
You don’t have to frown,
When the chips are down,
Or when you are actually walking a tightrope.

If it hadn’t been for Hope, we’d be dejected,
When in our lives we feel sad and rejected.
The silver lining on dark cloud,
Doesn’t make us feel cowed;
We look forward to be pepped up by the unexpected.

Hope gives the impossible too a chance,
When we’re down and out it makes us dance.
Like a promise of God,
That we often applaud,
Our chances of success appear to enhance.

So, don’t abandon hope in any situation,
You and Hope are indeed a strong combination.
In God always have trust,
He never lets Hope catch rust,
Hope should be next to Love in your calculation.

….and the best will come to you.

I have done a long stint in the Indian Navy that lasted for nearly thirty seven years; I rose as far as my somewhat rebellious and irreverent nature allowed me to. Another very important part of life, brought out so well, Ravi PaaJi 🙏

Trust, belief, hope, faith all the positive attributes of The Supreme
which are available to all living beings as #Atma, the subset of #Param #Atma, and especially All human beings – HIS Superior Most Creation.
.
He resides in our heart and as long as we think from and act as per the Heart, we remain positive.
.
When the mind and logic take over, fears, doubts, concerns, anxiety
also creep in.
And gradually the positives start becoming dominated and dormant.
.
The end result of which is what we see in the world today.
.
Have we seen the birds stocking (hoarding) food …
They Trust the God to provide for the next meal
whereas we have the Desire to accumulate and hoard as much as if the next generation will be totally incompetent to make money or anything,
and frankly they would be competent but we make them Incompetent (and arrogant by environment) by providing too much.

“मुर्दे को प्रभु देत है – कपडा लत्ता आग l
जिन्दा नर चिंता करे, उस के बड़े अभाग II”

Birds even make a nest, when delivering Offsprings- for their Safety.
The underground creepy crawlies do maintain some reserve but that is only to the extent of rainy season and not beyond.

Now, Hoping for the best is always to be linked to #Doing the best for achieving the outcome expected from any action.

for Every action is a seed we sow which will, in its own time, manifest into a fruit and if we want Mango, we cannot get it by sowing the seed of Cactus. Kabir Saheb warns ..

करता था तो क्यों रहा ,अब काहे पछताय ,
बोया पेड़ बबूल का ,आम कहाँ से खाय।I

In Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna has categorically conveyed
.
कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन
मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भूर्मा ते सङ्गोऽस्त्वकर्मणि॥
.
We have been given wisdom and the freedom of choice for our actions but the fruits are not in our hands,
for these are defined by the debit and credit in our Karma account.
.
So what would make the best Karma
कबीरा सो धन संचिये जो आगे को होये !!

Meditation with the seed word Beej Mantr /Aum Mantr
for defined number of hours to Remember, Glorify the Supreme, paying obeisance to HIM, because
माया सिमरे माया में भरमाई सिमरे राम तब राम समाई

And after meeting monetary needs of Family, for a Simple Life,
rest of the time, Service of the mankind and living beings.. considering them all what they actually are, a form of Supreme Lord
(Mahatma Mangat Ram has guided Charity for Education & Skill development as the Best – enabling People to become Self sufficient, and also Dispensary (Medical assistance as the next) but Selflessly, WITHOUT Name, Fame, Ego.

निष्काम सेवा सत् सेवा होई
कल्याण स्वरूप सत् धर्म परोई I
सेवा कर नहीं पाए अभिमाना
साचा मार्ग धर्म पहचाना II

ज्यों-ज्यों जो सेवा में प्रीत लड़ाई
आपा मत दुख मूल उड़ जाई I

अपने आप का करो कल्याण
सत करतार का सुन फरमान II

अंबर वायु अग्नि नित ही सेवा धार
‘मंगत’ मूढ़ा मानुष नहीं सूझे कुछ सार।।

An excellently and superbly thought and composed poetry as far as we areour thinking, working and living on this planet is concerned. Certainly such thoughts will prove to be catalyst to uplift our morale and keeping our hope live in the system thinking and praying it will materialize one day may be sooner or later. This is also a fact whilst hoping for the best the existence of apprehension is also working within our consciously or subconsciously. This cannot be ruled out however positively we may think. We only get sigh of relief temporariy when out come of the result meets our hope.When hope gets materialized and unfortunately another one is in pipe line. Thus we ordinary mortals are under constant and continuous burning with unfulfilled desires and hoping for the best at all the time so that it works like adrenaline injection boosting up morale. Ultimately no matter what we do or think we cannot escape pressure and apprehensions.

On the other hand if we seriously believe in to follow and practice the writing of all past saints/Gurus/ masters/ murshid our morale condition will be very high and become worriless and fearless . Guru Teg Bahadur ninth Sikh guru sahibaan tells us:

ਜਤਨ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੁਖ ਕੇ ਕੀਏ ਦੁਖ ਕੋ ਕੀਓ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੁਨਿ ਰੇ ਮਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੋ ਹੋਇ ॥੩੯॥

It advises us unequivocally that all our sincere efforts and endeavours attempted for getting betterment and comforts of life but had no intention to do something which may create problem and unhappiness for us even with remotest possibility. Guru Nanak makes us aware to the fact that everything happens as He(Lord) wishes to happen.He is farsighted and we are very inferior when compared to his unfathomable wisdom. So he knows what is best for us. For the sake of clarity I wish to add if a young child of 3-4 years suffering from malaria then his mother administer him Quinine which is very bitter and child rejects that and weep co tenuously and incessantly for sweet medicine like chocolate which he like and loves. Does mother submits to his demand provide him the chocolate. No not all. She know he is ignorant and administer the sour and bitter pills only for the betterment of his child’s health. So creator knows what is best for us under those condition. We should gladly accept the way he wants us to live on this planet if we really wish to evolve our souls and reach higher planes of consciousness.

Therefore, we should ingrain and imbibe the wisdom of Gurus…Highly realised souls – WE SHOULD THINK N PLAN WISELY BY WEIGHING ALL THE PROS N CONS. THEN WORK HARD TO BEST OF OUR ABILITIES AS PER THE CHARTED OUT PLAN. HAVING DONE OUR JOB WE SHOULD NOT WORRY AND HOPE FOR THE OUTCOME AS THINGS HAS ALREADY BEEN ORDAINED FOR US TO HAPPEN. OUR DUTY WAS TO WORK FRO. BEGINNING TO END METICULOUSLY. AFTER THAT WE SHOLUD NOT WORRY OR HOPE FOR THE BEST. IF HOPE DOES NOT MATERILISE THE BEST WAY WE HOPED . THEN WHAT IS THE ALTERNATIVE.DO WE HAVE ANY? We have experienced how people have ruined their life when they didn’t get the results as per their hope. They become totally hopeless in future.

Similarly Shri Krishna advised us – Do your best without expecting the outcome to your wish. Leave it to him he is all knowing (omnipotent).

To conclude if we evolve our consciousness annd take our to higher plane then we can certainly preclude the pain of anxiety. Hope for the best is good moral lecture but………????

In continuation of my above comment- I strongly feel and say unambiguously that undoubtedly we should put in best efforts possible to achieve our objectives but avoid if we can unnecessary waiting and hoping for the outcome to our preconceived /well wished hope. It can be disastrous if we are not mentally strong and has no moral support providef by that higher power preached by saints and guru sahibaans of the time .
Just work truthfully and honestly to the best of your ability and wisdom without expectations. It is easier said than done but not impossible if we are seeking true and eternal peace and happiness. Regards
