♥ Good morning friends,
I started putting up these poems in June 2018. My sister Mona suggested that I should complete 365 days of these. I have now exactly 30 to put up to complete this challenge, which looked so daunting in the beginning.
Though I shall never run out of subjects, I wanted to devote the last 30 days or so to subjects suggested by friends.
I have obtained many suggestions. I may not write poems on all since some of these have already been written.
Today is the third one of these. I have combined two subjects (Pettiness and Forgiveness) suggested by Vice Admiral JS Bedi who practices what he preaches. I know he’ll forgive me if I haven’t met his expectation:
‘To err is human, to forgive divine’,
To overlook honest mistakes is a sign,
That you you can be kind,
Whilst keeping the big aim in mind,
And that you’re not a nit-picker by design.
How often we come across the mules,
Who are always stickler to the rules.
Your every small error,
Unleashes their terror,
They’re convinced all others are fools.
Then there are those who encourage people to grow,
For small mistakes tantrums they don’t throw;
Rather than focusing on negatives,
They build on people’s positives,
The benefits of forgiveness they very well know.
A good leader promotes the best in his team,
To lead by love and not fear is his dream.
He finds it easy to forgive and overlook,
Rather than forever go by the book,
For every petty mistake he doesn’t scream.
