Thank God for….
When I look around I see people wealthier than me,
Also, there is no doubt that some are healthier than me.
Many are more intelligent, cleverer and smarter,
Many have reached places whilst I’ve been a non-starter.
And yet, I know, God has given me better than the rest.
The overall blessing of Him to me has been by far the best.
God makes each one of us with specific purpose or aim,
And hence He can’t be giving to everyone abilities same.
It is for us to quickly discover what we’re meant to be,
And then to accept the matching abilities proudly.
We should be content with what we’ve been given,
And make the best of it, like a man who’s driven.
God, thank you for giving me the best in your store,
With it, honestly, I can never ask for more.
Just make me worthy of your gifts to me,
From jealousy and envy always keep me free.
Let me not find grass greener on the other side,
Let me take everything good or bad in my stride.
Thank you for making me happy and content.
Rather than living my life in useless lament.
The others have been equipped with what they need,
I too have been given, in my task, to succeed.
I don’t ever rue what they have or possess,
I thank you for your blessings and kindness.
….for what He has already given.

Reminded of
गो धन, गज धन, बाज धन, और रतन धन खान।
*जब आवे संतोष धन, सब धन धूरि समान*।।

Kabir Saheb was born to an Unwed Brahmin Mother who had to abandon him as a non entity, and he was raised by a Muslim Weaver,
No School, No formal education (although many scholars have acquired Ph.D. based on interpretation of Some Verses)
Guru Ramanand Ji denied to initiate him because he was from a lower caste,
.
Did Sant Kabir Saheb ever fret that he has not been given enough?
.
Instead he did redefine the aspirations
.
साईं इतना दीजिए जामे कुटुम्ब समाय,
मैं भी भूखा ना रहूं साधु न भूखा जाए !!
One morning when Guru Ramanand was going for his morning bath in the wee hours, Kabir Saheb light down as if sleeping in his route in a blanket not to be visible as who he was Guru Ramanand accidentally hit upon Kabir Sahib and uttered
*Ram ke Ram Kaho, Yeh Bhi Koi Sone Ka waqt hai*
This became the Mantra of Kabir Saheb who started his Journey of Ram Jap as a Weaver, in every Breath while pushing the shuttle and sucking it back (inhale and exhale in common parlance)
and he never slept since then
.
Normally the disciples are known by the name of the Guru
How blessed was Guru Ramanand to be known because of Kabir Sahib,
his unaccepted disciple
.
To enjoy Blessings of the Supreme and then denounce these,
as Gautam Buddha, Mahavir Jain even Lord Rama and Lord Krishna did,
is one level of Supreme consciousness and wisdom
and to realise without experiencing the worldly pleasures that these are not worth spending time and mind on, Being a barrier in the process of the real objective of life, is a distinction held by Sant Kabir Sahib, to be called Sant Shiromani by all the Saints and Seers, Guru Nanak Sahib and Mahatma Mandir from included.

In Conclusion,
चाह चाह गई चिंता मिटी मनुआ बेपरवाह,
जिसको कुछ नहीं चाहिए सो ही शहंशाह!!

The Supreme Lord Wants Us All to be Shahanshah,

As Opportunities to Excel, for Achieving the Real Objective of Human Form, ,

Very nicely explained with apt examples. Very well done Rakesh Aman Bhatia.
These days we see many signs saying:
SALE! SALE! SALE!
FREE! FREE! FREE!
LOOT! LOOT! LOOT!
Kabir was the first one to announce it to public:
लूट सके तो लूट ले,
राम नाम की लूट,
पाछे पछताएगा,
प्राण जाएं जब छूट।
That was his way of saying that God’s gifts are freely available. You just have to grab these with both hands.
