Old and New are mere perceptions…..
From the first of June, 2018, I started writing Good Morning messages in the form of poems (Please read: ‘Good Morning Message #1‘).

Good morning Friends,
Alright, back to having an old year with us,
So what if it is just one day old?
Hence, now think as to what was the fuss,
Why were we so keen to have it in our fold?
Old and New are mere perceptions,
There are, in this universe, no exceptions.
Think of, in your family, a baby who’s new born,
How long will it carry this tag? Until how old?
Should we stop calling it new from the next morn?
Or until in its nursery class it is enrolled?
Old and New are mere perceptions,
There are, in this universe, no exceptions.
We can actually put our resolutions to action,
Any day, month or moment in the year;
Every moment God gives us has this attraction,
Only momentarily new it does appear.

One can abandon old habits and acquire new,
Whenever one decides to break the cage;
Some wait exactly on the First January to do,
Others do it at any age or life’s stage.

….every moment that is new gets old!
