Defeated by a situation? You can’t be a leader.
From the first of June, 2018, I started writing Good Morning messages in the form of poems (Please read: ‘Good Morning Message #1‘).
The last such message was: ‘Good Morning Message #113‘.
Good morning Friends,
Have you ever come across a true leader of men,
Who is defeated or overwhelmed by a situation?
Throw tricky situations at him over and over again,
And yet he would never give way to frustration.
The fact is that each of us is leader in some way,
For we have to lead our lives until the last breath;
If we let defeat and dejection have their day,
Then even before dying we have courted death.
God, when he gives us a hard or difficult situation,
Also gives us strength and skill to go through it;
There is, to this rule, not a single aberration,
We should never feel that somehow we’re unfit.
God sends a Spider to convey to each King Bruce,
That defeat can only be because of lack of trying;
In the battle of life there should never be a truce,
However bad the luck, your spirit should be flying.
There is no place at all for cowards in this battle,
You’ve to set an example and lead with pluck;
Don’t allow heart to sink and nerves to rattle,
Lo and behold, you’d have changed your luck.
I pray for you to lead courageously in this fight,
However bad a situation that is thrown at you;
As Krishna said to Arjuna: It’ll just turn out alright,
If you recognise your Karma and follow it through.
Defeated is a coward. Be brave and win.
